Summer is a popular time for home improvement projects. Whether you are finally tackling that kitchen upgrade, finishing part of the basement, or building the addition you have been talking about since approximately forever, it is a good idea to make sure your insurance keeps up with your home.
As a rule of thumb, any project that would change how much it would cost to rebuild your home by $5,000 or more should be reported to your agent.
You do not need to call your agent if you are painting a room, replacing carpet, or hanging a shelf that may or may not be level. Please reach out for larger projects such as:
- Building an addition
- Upgrading the kitchen or bathroom
- Finishing part of your basement
If you are planning a project this summer or just want to make sure your coverage is up to date, we are here to help.
